The Incinerator Plant
Off the Radworth Loop
Photograph to come
The end of the line for everything the town throws away, and the end of a shift for anyone working the fly-tip round. You bring the truck up the access road, you pay your five pounds, you sort what you have brought into six bins, and then you watch it burn.
It stands on a two hundred and forty by two hundred metre pad more than half a mile out of the centre, with seven hundred metres of nothing between it and the nearest house. That is not an accident of planning; it is the whole point of where it is.
There is parking for a hundred and twenty, which tells you what the council expected of the place, and how often it is that busy.
- £5 to tip
- Six bins to sort into
